Chalmazel Mountain Station is located in the Monts du Forez mountains in France. It currently offers ski and snow activities. The project aims to broaden the touristic appeal of the station to that of a « four season » resort, connecting it to the outerlying region.
Urbalterre methodology consists in analysing the strengths and weaknesses of the station and defining and developing a decision-making process with all stakeholders concerned. The methodology uses urban development methods, such as systemic analysis, the outlining of particular challenges, a project workshop and feasibility studies. The work has been in progress since the summer 2012 and its completion is projected for September 2013.
